Salvation- The way the truth and the life.

This weeks’ very important topic is about Salvation. Liberalism and Christianity differ because of the view of God and the view of man. Liberalism finds the answer to salvation in man and Christianity would define it as an act of God. Jesus Christ is our savior because what He did for us on the cross- literally saving us from Hell because that where our sin would put us. He bore all of our sins on the cross. This is the reality and teaching of the word of God, it is not a theory, it is Truth. In modern times people are making efforts to get rid of theBible and its very true doctrine. This all comes down to human pride. It is pride that gets in the way to clearly see how bad we need Jesus. There is no other way. Modern liberal preachers are usually preaching on other things, rather than bearing their hearts to Jesus at the foot of the cross. They want you to think that this was an example, and usually they don’t preach it as reality. And the reality is that Christ died instead of us so that we may be shown perfect at the throne. Christ died in our place. That is a main point that liberal preachers avoid preaching. They teach that it should be about love and self-sacrifice, but often forget to mention the biggest part of Salvation, and what it really means, without that truth of Christ dying in our place the Gospel is not complete. When you leave the Cross and Christ shedding of blood out of the picture, you are hurting human hearts and leaving people hopeless, because no amount of good will save you. People need the hope of Christ. People always find ways to criticize the cross and Jesus’ death because it is dependent on history. The important thing is that this history really happened. The history of Christ is what makes Christianity true and not mysticism where you’re just chasing a modern day feel-good feeling without acknowledging the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Liberal preachers fail to mention the dreadful fact that we are sinners. This is another big issue in modern liberalism, because people feel that it’s too narrow, and what if people have never heard of Jesus? They think there’s got to be another way. Well that’s just it- the Gospel speaks over and over about the chosen people. Christianity rejects all other ideas, and demands an absolutely exclusive devotion to Christ. The job to spread the message of Christ was left as man’s responsibility. And is a big task. Another problem today is that many view Jesus as a man of self sacrifice and compare him to a volunteer soldier sacrificing their lives for others, but the biggest difference they cannot see is that Christ’s death takes away the guilt of sin. We need to really focus on the differences here. We cannot lose sight of Jesus’ significant and real death. And must remember his death was to free us from the bondage of sin.
